Fermo, April 13, 2026 — SACE Components, the Italian manufacturer behind MarineCork, a 100% natural cork decking solution for the marine industry, announces an exclusive distribution agreement with Teakdecking Systems (TDS) for the U.S. market. The partnership marks a strategic step in the brand’s international growth, strengthening its position in one of the most important markets for high-end yachting.
Under the agreement, TDS will exclusively distribute MarineCork, offering shipyards, boat builders and yacht owners a sustainable, high-performance alternative to traditional materials, without compromising durability, comfort or aesthetics.
"The agreement with TDS, the exclusive distributor of MarineCork products in the United States, represents an important step in consolidating our position in a strategic region for the marine industry. We selected TDS as our partner because it is a recognized reference in the sector at a global level, with a well-established presence in the United States and extensive experience in the development of products for high-end vessels," says Sandro Serena, CEO of SACE Components.
Serena adds: "MarineCork combines sustainability, high performance and innovative design, meeting the functional and aesthetic requirements of contemporary yachting. Our cork surfaces ensure durability, comfort and long-term performance, enhancing onboard spaces through customizable finishes aligned with modern vessel design. This alliance strengthens MarineCork’s competitiveness, supporting its growth and consolidating its role at an international level."
The agreement aligns with TDS’s strategy to expand its portfolio with low-impact materials. With over forty years of experience, headquarters in Florida and operations in Spain, Teakdecking Systems is a leading provider of teak, composite and cork decking systems, managing the entire process from design and manufacturing to installation.
"We are proud to partner with MarineCork and bring their decking solution to the American market," says Richard Strauss, CEO of Teakdecking Systems. "Sustainability is becoming a central priority for our industry, and this collaboration allows us to offer a material that not only reduces environmental impact, but also delivers the quality, comfort and durability our clients expect. MarineCork fits naturally within our portfolio as we continue to expand responsible solutions for modern yacht design."
