Cork is a natural material that has been used since ancient times. It comes from the Quercus Suber tree, native to south-western Europe and north-western Africa. The cork tree is invaluable, protecting the soil from erosion and storing large amounts of carbon dioxide. Its bark, which can regenerate itself after each extraction, produces new material.
